Hi, looking at a cheap VT simply for the fact that it has a towball and to use as a car for towing and getting in with dirty clothes or going to the beach.
I've found one which I think I will be able to get quite cheap but the guy is saying it needs a new motor. I asked him what was wrong with the motor and he said
Would my original assumption of severed fuel line be a reasonable one... I wonder whether this "water" is possibly petrol. Any ideas on what this one could be?Dont really know ,car turns over but wont start and water is leaking out of the bottom of the motor ,have been told may be a core plug? i have been quoted $990 for a new motor inc supply and fit with a warranty .

Could be water, could be fuel. There is no way we could say with the information we have. The only way to know is to have a look and see (and smell) for yourself. Once we know what is leaking we might be of more help.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
