    Default Fuel Pump Location

    Hey my aunties fuel pump went in her vx wagon today and for the life of me i can't remember where the fuel pump is located.

    all i need to know is where the pump is located and how hard its gonna be to change ( she is on a tight budget)

    I tried the search function and i got not much so any help is appreciated

    It's in the fuel tank, so the tank needs to be removed. Not overly difficult.

    I'm pretty sure they are the same as in the VS commodores.
    You don't really have to remove the tank. If you can get in under the wagon from behind, on the drivers side, it there will be a round plate with 6 or 8 little bolts (10mm i think) facing towards the front. Loosen them off, drain some of the fuel out then guide it out slowly till you've pulled it out. It should all come out as a plate, pickup, pump and strainer all together. Pull the pump off the end and replace
    If its not working, you're not hitting it hard enough.

    approximately 100-150 for pumps (thats for a bosch one for the vs's, comes with instructions)
    If its not working, you're not hitting it hard enough.

    They are different, the tank must come out because the pump comes out from the top not the front.

    Lol Yeah, getting it back in was the hard part without bending the float! If Accent says its on the top i'd say drop the tank as suggested
    If its not working, you're not hitting it hard enough.
