Hey all
Been awhile since ive posted,
Anyway i had a complete motor rebuild due to the heads being cracked and all that,
Anyway got the car back on Thursday and decided to take it for a drive today, problem is i got around 20km away from home on the highway and the car overheated etc, pulled up and there was coolant all over the back end of the motor, found the problem about 10 minutes later and it was a busted heater hose, cut the hose and re fitted it so i could get to a shop to buy a new one, around 5 minutes after i started driving i started hearing a tapping noises coming from the motor, when i stopped it was still tapping, sat there for like 5 minutes and it seemed to be getting worse, now im only 10km from home, so i decided to risk it as there is only open bush around, then i started to notice the front end was shaking when i accelerated, like shaking side to side etc etc, when i backed off it when away, but when i accelerated again it started shaking again, yet when i planted my foot right down the shaking went away and when im cruising and accelerate slowing it comes back, also noticed that the ticking noise also went away when the shaking started.
Im taking it back to the shop on monday to see what they say but thought id ask you guys for a little help first.
Car is a Calais 99 VT V6 Standard - No work done to it
Thanks in advance
Take it back on a trailer sounds serious and u dont want them blaming u for driving it when you knew there was a problem,
Hope it works out ok 4 ya
