Fuel Pump Noise

gday fellas.....
just noticed today that there is a buzzing noise comming from the petrol tank area on my vx.....im assuming its the fuel pump......does this mean its on the way out??

what are some other signs of a fuel pump on its way out??

Fuel pump noise is normal as far as I know.
One way to check if your fuel pump is on its way out is to cold start the car and see how long it takes to crank over, then turn it off, and restart again checking how long it takes to start this time. If it takes a bit to start the first time, and starts immediately the second time, good chance your fuel pump is on its way out.
