Default VT SS Supercharged V6 Cooling system bleed procedure

    HI everyone,

Wanted to check the bleed points for a SC SS VT? i know that there is one on the thermostat and then one of the radiator lines is there any at the rear of the engine or anywhere else?

Is it a case of start low and move to the highest point?

Also wanted to ask if there is a way of flushing the entire system? have recently purchased the vehicle and have found that the whole cooling system is brown and i fear very very rusty.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The brown gunk is most likely the Holden coolant pellets......also known as crushed walnuts. I'm not joking.

This unfortunately sounds similar to mine, I think it is the LIM gasket gone. This is just from what I've read over time, and I asked the question last time I had my car service at holden. They agreed it could be the LIM.

Apparently the original Lower intake manifold gaskets where made of something other than metal. I think yella terra or some-other after market maker started to make them out of metal so they would last. I think it may be copper? so that it squishes down... when I asked this from the holden dealer, he replied oh yes we learnt that sometime ago.

long story short you the brown stuff may be oil, in your water, which is not good to cool with. I havent done mine yet but it is of constant concern. I sort of think if the charger comes of maybe some porting may be required.

Sorry if this is not the case and I am being a scare monger.
