VT Dash Lights

Hey Guys,
Just wondering if anyone knew why my dash lights are dimmed and how to fix it.
My aircon controlers are dimmed but not my tacho.
I recently had a new head-deck installed and since then the lights have been dimmed.
If any one could give me some feedback that would be great..

Check fusses bro, other wise wiring may short some stuff out ay .

i had the same thing happen after my in dash dvd player was installed, half my climate control was normal and the other half is dimmed... i still havnt got round to fixin it yet

What do you need to fix to make it fully light up?

im not sure i was lazy and never looked into it but i had been told to replace the bulbs in the dash

i might be inclined to check the earth of the h/u. and depending on the cd player model maybe it has a dimmer illumination input which has been connected.

Nah the cd player is all good i connected it up before and worked fine.
Just didnt have the sleve so it moved around alot so i took it to get fitted with the proper sleve and i didnt drive for a few nights and forgot then i put two and two together and musta been something in the install they did wrong.

Any ideas guys?

Ideas:

Fuses in the car check all, may even be one from head unit which can cause an effect on all other things. Some can cause other to short out, so blown light fuse may trip out clock lighting display and all. So check all of them mate, other than that check no wires are touching in headunit wire up, earthing problems then see where that gets you. other wise may be a trip and some money at AUTO ELEC'S mate
