vt starting problem

Hi, Got a big mystery on my hands.
Have problems with the car not starting .Turns over just wont start. .Visited multiple mechanics They give up . Had almost everything replaced from the ignition switch and key to the fuel pump .Nothing shows up on comp check . Will start ok for a week then decides it wont start and you can try to start it for another week with no luck and out of the blue it will start again. Once it is going it runs well . May be ok for another day or maybe a week then it happens again.
Any ideas what this could be. Its driving me crazy and i cant afford to be repeatedly paying for tow trucks and repairs that dont work.

Is it stock? Any aftermarket pod filter?
Have you changed the o2 sensor and MAF?

Hey mate, i had the same thing. Then engine rolls over but pistons dont fire?

Check ur crank angle sensor and harmonic balancer

my brother had the same problem on his commodore...it was a vn thou, anyway he got the earths (one on the body and the other on the engine) cleaned and his problem was fixed.....might wanna give it a try....you got nothing to lose execpt 5 minutes of your time. also might wanna make sure all you cables running from the computer are firmly in place...or it could be a problem with the computer itself.
