    Default colour coding bumbers

    hey,
sorry if this has been covered before, did a quick search and couldn't find anything.
I bought a 2000 VT exeutive stock about 2 months ago. I don't have heaps of money so im just going to start with some simple mods to make it look a bit nicer. how much does it roughly cost to get the grey plastic at the bottom of the bumpers and side skirts painted silver to match the rest of the car. Also the plastic strips across the doors, can i just rip them off my self, or will it take paint with it?

    Thanks in advance

It's probably worth just leaving them as they are. I think an executive with no door protector strips, lowered on 17-18" rims looks great. Just get some Black WOW or other plastic trim detailer to make them black again.

Painting them just makes them blend in and something I regretted doing on my car. Could have saved a lot of money and still had a good looking car.

Just use a degreaser and rub down the side skirts, front and rear bumper lips. Mask of the car. Then use a good quality plastic adhesion primer in a can and spray a few coats over the bits making sure to do multiple light coats versus only a few thick coats and allow to dry between coats. Then get your paint code and get the paint made up in a spray can for you. Spray it and thats it. It will look good if you take your time and dont rush. Silver is not a forgiving color to match up anway so it's by no means going to be a pro job. I'd spray mine aswell but ive got a kit in the garage that im going to prep and spray soon.

As for the door trims, there are lots of threads on here already about taking them off. Just do a search for it. Good Luck
