Hi Guys I need a bit of advice
My power steering resevoir has been loosing ps fluid for some time, I originally suspected the worst, being blown or worn seals on my PS ram but when changinging filter and oil last time, I checked and no oil around the PS Ram, instead there was dripping PS fluid around the PS return lines/hoses, the rubber one from the resevoir down to the aluminuium tubing that bends around in front of the radiator, and the short rubber one that comes back from the PS ram or pump onto the other end of the alluminium tube that goes around the front of the radiator.
First question is the alluminium tube that goes around in front of the radiator for cooling the PS fluid or to stop frothing of the PS Fluid.
Second question,This alluminium tube, has two screws holding it to its brackets along front of radiator then it appears one above the chasis rail just forward of where the two hoses connect to it, how do I get at this third one, does the radiator have to come out or is there a better way to get to it.
As a temp measure I have bypassed this alluminium tube and run a new hose from the PS fluid return line straight back up to the resevoir, is this going to cause any detriment.
I have bypassed the alluminium tube as not sure whether the leaking is the rubber hoses or a split/hole in the alluminium tube.
Thanks in advance guys any advice would be gratefully accepted.
Kind regards Chris
