I'm thinking of buying a '99 Senator. Its got the LS1 and done about 150ks and sounds like its in good nick, still waiting on pics. Is $15,000(NZ) a good price?
Does anyone know if the back seats fold down in this model? Anything I should look out for, common problems etc....
Thanks![]()
Too hard to give a definative answer with such limited answer. $15,000 is not too bad for a LS1 VT Senator.
Post link.
I'm also considering an '02 VX Clubsport R8 done 150k and there asking $20,500(NZ) for it. Just figured out that the Senator is burgandy, yuck! Definately won't be buying that.
But yeah do the back seats fold down in a VT/VX HSV?
my clubby was 17-18 mate soo 20 seems like a good one... BUT i dunno what that converts into AUS :S
15000 NZ$?
so about $20 AUShaha couldnt resist, sorry
I reckon 15 grand is a pretty good price, as long as its in good nick and doesnt need anything major done to it. Theyre a beautiful car
More keen on the R8 now. Works out to be $16,000AU.
And just so you know $15,000NZ is about $12,000AU![]()
Here's the link if anyone wants to have a look:

Its up to you because its all about personal preferance and all that and I know the R8 is a VX n all that... But personally I would go for the senator.
Do you have a link for the senator? does it have a sunroof? < if so do you want one, coz obviously if it has one and you dont want one then thats a negative rather than a pos
The senator would have the dual zone climate control as well, and leather seats.. but again depends if you want leather seats
Shame about the senator being burgandy.. but I have seen them around and they actually look alot better than they sound/look in pictures
just my opinion, but if your minds made up... its not as if the r8 is a bad carhaha, its win/win for you either way
