3 beeps 3 times

Hey all,

I have an issue with my holden commodare vx executive.

When I turn the engine on after a minute or so I get three beeps three times (so nine beeps in total). No warning lights show and the car runs fine.

The stop light on the rear window at the top, the rear wiper and the boot light doesn't work but no fuse seems to be blown, could that be it?

Anyone any idea what could possibly be the cause?

Eurovox AM/FM Radio/CD Player, far as i know the one that it came with.

Oh ohk, no solution then. I know some had a beep if you leave the face on the deck after switching the car off.

Could be your airbag light/warning but that particular bulb is blown? Airbag warning will chime every time the car is started.

Anyone with a Tech 2 should be able to read what the warning is for.

oil light lights up same as all the rest as normal when first starting a car but all go off before the beeping starts so none can be related to it.

after the car starts the warning light goe's off automaticly, after a ferther 15 second's then it will report the true pressure.
if low a series of beep's.

note: on some models their are two senders in one unit.
1 for the gauge/dash light
2 for the monitoring computer

Airbag sensor sets of a series of beeps. Thats the only one I know - replaced my Drivers seat (which had a 'bag) with an SS seat which did not. You CANNOT disable the beeps, without disabling the entire airbag system..........

Oh - the airbag warning beeps are 3 beeps of rising tone in sequence, 3 times. Maybe just your airbag light is stuffed and you have a loose connection in the chair.

I know it doesnt help, but I was just listening to that song and it seems really relevant (car goes beep beep beep + theres 9 beeps right there )

I was gonna suggest it could have been your cd player but if its the stock one then no

What about the low petrol warning? I know it sounds silly but commodores have a big problem with their fuel gauges, maybe it senses theres low petrol and then the needle moves back up?

Well called holden but the guy said it could be a number of things so bringing it to the garage as they can read the computer from there and see what the exact issue is. There's a few other minor things so might as well get them all sorted out now.
