HELP: VT SS Engine light and oil light coming on

Hey,
I have a 2000 VT SS II 5.7ltr it has aboout 211 000Ks on it when i turn the car on the engine light stays on constantly has a machanic check it out and says it might just be the oil sensor, every now and then around a corner or a set of lights it will beep 4 times and flash the oil light then go back to the engine light being on, there is full oil in there and good engine compression.

I did the oil and filter change at 210 000Ks and turned it back on and engine like flashed on then off and then stayed on constant again.

Any ideas ??? Thanks

The oil pressure sensor is a common problem. I've replaced mine but it needs to be replaced again, but they are quite expensive so it will have to wait a while.

Check the wire to the Oil pressue sender switch is'nt loose. Check your oil pressure with a master guage too. Your oil pump might be on its way out
