Hopefully this post shows up, as my previous attempts never appear on the forum...?
I'm looking at picking up a VX SS in the next few weeks and intend to fit a decent exhaust. I'm debating if it's financially worthwhile getting one professionally fitted
or buying a full exhaust system and fitting it myself. I'm thinking of a set of 4 into 1's, 2.5" twin system with hi-flow cats...etc I don't really know what they're worth these days, but is something like this alright?
Another quick question, does anyone know of a decent place in the Adelaide northern suburbs that I can pickup a decent set of 17" 5 spoke alloys and tyres for a good price?
Something that looks similar to the standard VX or VY SS rims, as the cars I'm looking at have 19"s and I'd prefer a little more comfort in my ride as well as being easier on
the pocket when it comes time for new tread. Actually, what sort of prices do Holden sell the SS wheels new for?
Also, whats a tune worth for an LS1 these days, and whats the best type to get as I know little about this.
that exhaust in the link doesnt look to bad for the $$
cats would only be ceramic which are crap but for the $$ it is a good cheap upgrade
tune can range from $500-900
cheers GM
Hey dude in regards to wheels have you tried looking on ebay? I see alot of vx ss rims on there you can pick up for bout $700-$900 with decent 2nd hand tyres.
Or try your local wheel shops the would do them for bout $800 brand new.
Also this sight NVU, Genuine Holden parts to suit Holden Commodore VR,VS,VT,VX,VY,VZ,Monaro,Statesman,Utes and HSV
Cool, thanks for the info guys. I thought about ebay, but I'd prefer to get something brand new.
