Hey guys, Looking to get myself a VT/VX and ive come across a VT Berlina with a bit of damage to the front end, (est $800 of panel beating to fix, plus paint). But the airbags have been deployed.
Now, im not terribly familar with the VT/VX Commodores airbag system. I was told that since the airbags have been deployed, i would need to replace the:
Airbags (obviously)
steering wheel cover (obviously)
dash pad (i thought it just pops open like a door, unlike the steering wheel?)
Clock spring sensors
module sensor
seat belt buckle/stalk
And then reset and checked by holden
All this i was quoted $660 to fix inc parts
I assumed i could just replace steering wheel cover, replace the airbags, reset the light and be done with it!
Why do all the sensors have to be replaced? Or was i victim to panel beater BS?
Much appreciated guys!
$660 seems pretty resaonable to me... If you think theyre cheating you... get a few more quotes from a few different places
I was just wondering if i could replace the airbags and take it to holden so they can reset it all with a tech2
