Hi guys!
Sorry for no intro but hoping someone here can suggest me something!
I have a VX Exec that is bogged. It needs to be pulled out ass first however there is no tow hook!!! Thought it would be a simple case of getting an actual hook, screwing it in and problem solved but no, the hole that is covered by the rubber plug is just that, a hole.
What can i hook on to that is strong enough to handle being pulled out? (Not uphill or anything, just in a very boggy paddock that i went a bit too far into)
Someone please help me, what can i attach the tow rope too that will handle it?
Thanks heaps!

I would have thought there would be a tow hook under there somewhere, but anyway next best option would be the diff cradle

To be honest, i thought there would be too, i called up a dealer and they confirmed that they did not come with rear tow hooks. (So make sure you get stuck ass first i guess?)
I asked the service manager what he suggested i attach to then, and he said "something strong enough" when i asked specifically what he suggested he said "i don't know, something that's strong enough.." Thanks, captain obvious. Saved the day.
The way the car is stuck its basically in mud and i can just see the back of the diff housing,... i dont know that i can get a hook much further than that
Sorry to be such a fail child, im not normally a commodore girl, and we put tow hooks on our jap crap
Any more ideas?
Thanks heaps!

The car does not have a tow bar fitted does it?
Diff cradle/crossmember is about the only part strong enough to be towed from, if you can get to the diff you should be able to hook it around the crossmember, otherwise you could try jacking it up with one of those exhaust jacks 4x4's use Exhaust Jack - Bushranger

Yuck! Can't dig/ wait for it to dry a bit?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
We managed to get it out by digging it out a bit near the left axle and looped it around. Nothing went snap so it's all good in my book hahaha.
Thank goodness for massive 4wd with big ass winches!
