hi, no offence taken I just feel like a change and a bit of a project to do as I like the fresher look of the VY and parts are relatively cheap to get. Also, im looking at doing a color change from white to a Tungsten color so I may aswell make it worth while.

    What you will need:
    - Head lights (plug straight it but may require wiring modification at the indicator stalk depending on what type you use. i.e. Projector style require the mod)
    - Fenders
    - Bonnet
    - Bumper
    - Reo bar (behind the bumper. Depends on the bumper bar though)
    - Windscreen wiper cover
    - Bonnet hinges
    - Side indicators

Have a look at my ride thread. I have a VX wagon that I have converted to a VZ Senator

Hey Keza, thats exactly what i was after! That looks great!
I have aftermarket headlights already on mine but the VX teardrop shape and in black. do you think the wiring would be ok if i go for the black VY style headlights?

Also, what about the reo bar? What bumpers would be ok using the original reo bar if any?

    Thanks mate,

    Smokin

Unfortunately I do not know what re bar would suit different types of bars. All I know is that the panel beaters tried 3 different reo bars to get the fitting right with the VZ Senator bar then there was foam spacers that needed to be used as well.

My suggestion is get the bumper you want and see if it fits with the reo bar you already have. It may work correctly.

Is this the VY SS head light? I do not believe these are projector style head lights.
The Berlina, Calais and most HSV head lights are projectors.
I do not believe any wiring modifications are required at the head light it self but have read other wise.
The wiring mod required for the Projector style head lights is just combining 2 of the high-beam wires together.
