    Default Vx lpg ?

    I have a vx waggon on gas /petrol ,300 ,ooo ks ,runs well clean unit ,factory lpg impco 225 , the problem i am having is it will lose power to the engine for a very few seconds when driving at 60 ks an hour up hill will back fire, (dose it once or twice a week) ( not very loud just two small bangs ) restarts ,this happens when its on gas ,anyone got any ideas as to why it happens or what i should do or change to fix the problem ,thanks for any help , Leigh

    Probably ignition-related.

    Change spark plugs. Use standard NGK copper plugs (yes, the cheapest ones), gap them to 0.8mm and replace every 20,000km or every year, whichever comes first.

    Change ignition leads.

    Ask a mechanic to check your ignition coil(s) and oxygen sensor(s). Replace as necessary.

    You will also want to check your intake pipe & ducting for damage after backfires.

    If you have done all of the above and problems still persist, contact your local gas installer for a gas system service & tune.
