hay all just brought my first commodore and its a Vt calais its completly stocko so it need some work done to it lol so i have got all my sound sytem, mags and ride high worked out LOL but i really dont know much about the rest
as in an exuast kit getting it chipped and any other things i can do to inprove the peformence of my car
First up i'd put a set of factory 17's or 18's onto it, like the VT Calais International 17's i have on mine, or some machined VE Calais V 18's. Throw in a decent mp3 headunit & sell the maestro headunit and CD stacker on eBay.
Assuming yours is a n/a V6 and not blown, start of with a better exhaust air filter and chip, then the things Robbo C suggested above.
I know it's easy to say and not much use to you as you've already bought yours, but if you want supercharged it'd be easier to buy one and start from there, particularly given the fact current VT Calais prices have gone thru the floor.
(EDIT: whoops sorry you said you'e done your mags & stereo, i can't read!)
ok well i have decided first to upgrade the exhaust air filter and chip i dont really know much about these so if i start with the exuast can someone tell me what i whoulkd be looking for
go for a set of pacemaker extractors and a 2.5" cat back..single pipe (anything higher without greater power than stock you will lose a little back pressure) and i beleive less back pressure = less power? correct me if im wrong there..
2.5" has a nice tone to it.
2.75" has a better tone imothat's what's on mine at the moment.
