Any ideas... I never-ever- use the radio what if i replaced the Aerial for the radio with a CB one, would this be sufficient?
Any ideas were else might be good spot for minimal physical changes to the care *eg, drilling holes
the only time it wouldnt look "weird" is if you lived in the middle of nowhere.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
Mines next to the boot lid, D/S. I used an existing phone antenna bracket but if I was to do it from scratch, I would still mount it there.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
See if you can run it along the inside of your guard.
I did that when I had the radio in my trailerqueen when I shaved it off.
Don't know about CB though... Might be worth a try.
Get a bracket from Dicksmith and mount it to one of the front guard mounting bolts.
buy a five poster bull bar and put it on that
You could just make a bracket yourself if you are handy with some tools. All you need is a vice (or improvise), hammer (or improvise) and a drill. You could use an existing bolt on one of the front guards as suggested. If you use the passenger side guard you should be able to channel the cabling alongside the antenna cabling... Bit of a bastard the way those antennas are wired up though.

go to a cb shop, there is heaps of neat brackets out the now including a magnetic base which you can take off at any time and put it in the boot/inside/under the bonnet somewhere to hide it. they are stable and don't wreck the paint if you don't slide them when you take them off. just another option
