Default Vx Calais Speaker Options ?

Well I'm looking to upgrade to some better speakers for my Vx Calais. What I want to know as Id like tp keep the stock look inside. Is there an option for me to replace the back shelf subs with afternmarket ones say jvc or something where I dont need to mod anything. Does anyone know what size holes they would be as in would they be a 8" sub ?

I kinda like Jvc or Pioneer so would like to stick with them too brands if I could. What I want is 2 sets of door speakers with tweeters and the subs in the self still but better ones. A

    Any recommandations out there?

    Cheers Jamie

My suggestion - keep the factory subs - upgrade the amp and run from a head unit with sub control. That's what I have done - and very happy with the results!

I also put splits in the front and better quality speakers in the rear doors - 6.5" speakers fit the doors no problem.

Would it wound stupid if I put 2 sets of splits in the doors? or just run the fronts with splits and same brand without for the rears ?

I'll be upgrading the head unit aswell tho. As I hate the stackers, coz when I go over a little bump it always skips.

I put the same quality speakers in the rear doors as I put in the front to give the rest of my family the same sound as I am hearing.
