just woundering if anyone here has done the vz front conversion on a vt/vx. got any pics of your car, and what did you have to do??
I havnt done it, if i wanted a vz i would have bought one. but, id assume IF they fit, you would need to change the bonnet, lights, bumper, guards. im going to assume the light looms are the same so that SHOULDENT be a problem if im right. it seems like a pretty easy conversion if u dont mind pulling 2 cars apart. then the respray will be a fair bit of moolah, plus parts, u might also need to change the electric aerial. good luck if you do go through with this tho, and if u buy a wrecked vz u should do the steering wheel aswell :P
haha, i went onto some sites to find out rough prices on the stuff i need (everything from the bottom of the windscreen up) and its too much for a little thing like that, plus ive kinda fell in love with the vx senator front. haha yeh i want to do the steering wheel its the best one ay haha
the whole front needs to be changed including the reo bar bonet bumper headlights gaurds ect ect...
I know this is any older thread but I'm hoping its still active. The VX to VZ front conversion is the main reason I started searching the web and how I came across this forum. Anyone able to tell me what " the reo bar " is that Ozzie mentions? Is it even possible to switch out and get the VZ replacement panels and lights to fit?
Any information would be great, Thanks.
try ebay they have non genuine items for dirt cheap
hey interested in putting a ls1 into my wagon how do i go about loom and everything.
It's the large metal beam behind the bumper bar that goes across the the front of the car.
so why would you need to change that? wont the VZ front without a VZ bar?

The closest you'll probably get without a whole lot of unneccesary effort is something like this: Sydney Special Vehicles: For Car Body Kits, HSV Parts, Mag Wheels, Tail Lights, Bonnet Scoops and More
If you really want the VZ look, the cheapest and best way is to save up for a VZ. You can pick up Execs for around the $12k mark, a little more will get you an SV6.
