what should i get for my vt??
option 1: leave the VT lights, they look best.
option 2: VX berlina/calais lights
option 3-899: stuff...
option 900: monaro lights... farrrrrr too overdone, and they dont suit the VT as nicely as the VT lights suit the VT
If you want to put different lights on, as MikesCalais said, go VX Berlina/Calais lights - they look nice, and not too overdone. Monaro lights belong on, and look best on Monaros, though I do admit, they do look better than crappy Altezzas.
I think the monaro lights are so over used today.
I like the VX calais rear with chrome garnish. Even have standard exec vx garnish and ad chrome strip looks good.
The standard VT rear is fine, with a little tint.
haha of course i wouldnt get altezzas they look like shit, i would get the genuine cv8 lights, but i do love the look of the vx calais with the chrome strip aswell. tough choice
if u do change them make sure u change the rear garnish to. ive seen so many vt's with monaro lights and they leave the rear garnish looks horrible
haha serious?? who leaves the rear garnish on haha, thats the part that looks crap (IMO)
yeah if i was u i would go the VX Calais option.
too many VT's with monaro lights, even worse if they are on a 6 imo
why not get the series 2 vt calais garnish with the chrome strip? if the strip is why your getting it, because itll turn out a little cheaper
also, arent you thinking about what body kit to get?
if your still wondering, wait until you get the bodykit to decide what lights suit it best, you might find that once the body kit goes on, the suitability of the lights changes
I actually think the VX Berlina/Calais lights are overdone now.
Everyone has them. I see less VT's with monaro lights than VX.
Definitely get VX Calais lights and garnish (not just lights and leave the VT garnish on like someone else said - but you said you won't!)
Only one issue - the VX garnishes don't have a keyhole, but this is only a problem if (1) you have an LPG tank fitted between the strut towers and (2) your (or your GF's) arse is too big to fit through the ski hatch should you need to open the boot manually because the electric solenoid has failed etc! But i believe there is a manual "VX boot release cable kit" available from Holden - this means the release cable "ring-pull" (for want of a better desription) is accessed just inside the ski hatch.
Now that i've mentioned ring-pulls it's time for another can...![]()
haha thanks mate, yeh i think il be going for the calais. yeh the boot key isnt a problem never use the thing anyways haha. haha nice one

btw nathan549 get a VX Calais garnish not a VX Berlina one - i don't think the Berlina's came with the chrome strip (unless of course you'd prefer it without).
I've always been a fan of the Berlina/Calais lights! Although I have seen one or two VT's that had the "chevrolet" rear garnish (ie says Chev instead of holden), nice subtle difference however sets it apart from other VT's!
