    Arrow supercharge motor

I have a vx acclaim ser2, I bought L67 heads, bold on supercharge, manifold, fuel rails, injectors, ecu, harmonic balancer and fuel pump, to put in, no upgrade on the boost.I've been told that it might blow up so i havent put it in the car yet waiting to get a gasket kit. just wondering will it run ok with a standard motor,

I don't know much about the supercharged engines but I believe they have stronger internal parts.

No no problems about setting up a charger on stock motor you just have to be weary of the psi you want... stock engine wont be able to widthstand as much as a worked motor..

check out the raptor section on the forum for a little more info if you need re stock motors and chargers etc.

maybe ask them a couple questions on what they reccomend for setting up on a stock motor.

    cheers,

I just spoke to the guys at yella terra they have gaskets to lower the compression of the engine, i think its cheaper then to bore the heads i think,

decomp plates are bad news man honestly

majority of people just have troubles with them non stop

stock boost will MAX 7psi average 6psi tops

stock bottom end should take it no problems just make sure you have decent fuel or youll start melting pistons

itll need a tune afterwards aswell..

if you were that worried about it you wouldnt have been messing with supercharging a na motor

the l67 has ceramic coated pistons and a few other things to strengthen it. will you put added pressure on your l36 bottom end, yes, will it hold up on standard psi , yes unles you drive like a F*ckwit. if i were you i would sell the kit you have, and buy a full l67 motor and drop it in, im guessing you paid about $2gs for that gear, so the l67 shouldnt cost too much on top of that.

why bother doing that a stock ecotec will handle 10psi fine and if your that worried about it give the short motor a reco with lower comp pistons.
