    Angry VX Squeak?

Hi guys, as you can tell by my post I have this annoying squeak! It only squeaks if I pull away slowly. It does it when I go forward or in reverse. Think it's with every revolution. Could this noise be related to my brakes or engine? The front brakes were done ie. pads and rotors and the back rotors were skimmed as pads were pretty much brand new. Service was done some 4 months ago and it's not due back for a check for another 10,000 k's. Oh and have recently noticed brake rotors have blue lines (guess from heat) both on front and rear. Is this a good sign?

Oh while I'm on the subject on my car and instead of making another annoying thread. I have two other problems. One is when I turn wheel to the right while moving, it makes this droning noise. It doesn't do it to the left. The second noise I guess is from my suspension or something as, if I am driving up to the driveway or going over a speed hump I get this knock noise from the front passenger side I think!

Hope you experienced guys can help so it can be identified so I can get them fixed.

Thanks in advance and help will be appreciated.

2nd noise sounds like Power Steering.

    First noise possibly wheel bearing.

And the knock sounds like swaybar link? or Z bar bush?

    Cheers

    Hi There,

    Agree with Mat,

The knock also may be a shocker.

    Good luck.

Wheel bearing can be serious if left for too long, Bearing can shit itself, an in the worste scenarious, turns into a high pitched squeal an the bearing can collapse causing quite savere issues.

Check your power steering fluid level aswell... It'd be the pump that makes that droneing noise normally when it's on its way out or low on fluid.

But the knock just jack her up an check out the rubbers on the front end, Impossible to miss them really.

    Cheers

Thanks guys. Is the wheel bearing something I can fix such as repacking it with grease or just replace it?

I checked power steering fluid, that's on max still. So I was thinking could it be possibly be the tracking gone out of alignment on the left?

As for the rubbers, am i checking to see if the are worn as in cracked? If they are deformed in some way, what are good rubbers to replace them with and how much a set?

    Cheers

Ok, now the noise/squeak has turned into a loud ticking/squeaking sound. I did try taking it out of gear and noise still exists, so I know it's not engine or trans. I do notice it doesn't make the sound if I slightly touch the brake pedal. So a little confused to say the least.
I took the car to checked and the guy quoted me $753 for a wheel bearing, fitting and GST! He didn't even check the car. Think I might call Lube Mobile to come as that seems really expensive!
What do you guys reacon, bearing or brakes pads due to uneven wear? I don't want to be ripped off.

    Please help guys....

I see Motor Traders were advertising genuine GMH hubs (no ABS) for $137.50 ea. a couple of months back.
