Default URGENT HELP please motor reving to high

hi ive just finished swapping my plenum and throttle body (Mace Engineering 69mm throttlebody) over to port and polish ones on my vx v6, when i turned the motor on it was all good reving normal around 900/1000 rpm when i gave it a few squirts of acceleration it started to rev up to 2800 rpm and stuck on and wouldn't rev down, i know the cable/petal isnt stuck can some one tell me whats going on please?

    Could be IAC.

Try this and it will tell you if anything is wrong.

    Checking error codes VT/VX

Then find out what the code means and you will know whats wrong.

doesn't sound like you read the flashes right. It flashes in tens and then one's.

Read this one, it explains it there.

Mate your problem is with the ECU because you've changed the air fuel mixture. you'll have to get it tuned

maybe i did read it wrong but i did read the same flashes about 7 times.
i took the port and polished plenum and throttle body of and replaced it with the standard ones and it reved normally all good. so i put just the 69mm throttle body back on and it ran ruff around 2600 rpm so again i swaped it for the standard one and at first it ran shit house but the 2nd and 3rd time its all good again so its got me f**ked whats going on and not sure what to do with the aftermarket item i got

Had the same issue with my VX.

    Note the part called 'Adapter'.

Make sure you replaced this correctly when you were putting the TPS into the new TB.

This seems to be the issue in most cases.

Give it a bash, good luck.
