what type of globes?????

i have a vx commo. and have bought a silver face plate for my cluster, and am wanting to know what type of globes go in the cluster? weither it be LED, coloured globes or the condom sleeves????? and where do i get them from?

cos i was wanting to do it today?? can ya help me?

well the LED conversion is just that, a conversion. Its been done twice before to my memory (only in the past few weeks) but Phreddy is a little bit off perfecting it before hes ready to give it the Phreddy Tick of Approval

esentially i stuffed up my VX cluster when i tried to put the condom thingies on. someone told me to remove the green backing with nail polish removal ... yeh okay that wasnt hard. Took the green condoms off and put the blue condoms on (sounds sick but its not ...), in theory that'd change the colour from Green to Blue right?

Problem is the green backing stuff layers the light, so when its gone the top is VERY bright, the bottom is very dark.

My suggestion, although you said you wanted to do it today, is DONT TOUCH IT. Wait til the proper LED conversion is out and get it done properly, otherwise you'll ruin your light

hey, thanks. well from what ive read it seems pretty complicated just to get green stuff off, or solder LEDs in place. lol.. i will wait a bit longer.. cant they make it simple?

Light is not as bright when using plastic sleeves. Personally i prefer the coloured globes.
