Ive asked many times in other threads but no one seems to answer the question.
How do you remove the handbrake button in a VT-VX?
There are no whriteups in the "how to" section
Any help would be appreciated. Pics would be great too.
I think it just unscrews mate.
It definitely unscrews on my VT Calais. AFAIK all VT/VX have the same threaded metal rod in the centre.
It IS difficult to get the button to start turning as there isn't much to grip on and what's there is smooth plastic. Perhaps carefully wrap a thick cloth around the button (so it doesn't get marked) and use pliers to get it to move. I didn't have to go to this trouble on mine though.
Mine does, get some grips on it to crack the seal then it should turn.
Cheers fellas.
I'll give it a shot within the next day or so. I satain chrome it all myself![]()
