hi,
i have a hilux with vt v6 and auto box. it has standard pcm with dr bob memcal to remove security etc. because of the modified memcal i dont know how to check error codes as i dont have a BCM .
my problem is..... whenever i load the engine i.e. take off from the lights or put foot half down to accelarate up a hill, the engine seems to completely cut out( i can hold my foot flat and /or pump accelarator pedal and engine does not respond at all until revs drop below 3k). it never stalls but will only let me rev to about 3k revs, and it wont change gear, feels like it is stuck in 2nd or 3rd. i think the converter also locks up permanently as if i try to change into gear manually it is very harsh with no delay. if i turn key off and back on it will be fine again untill i load it up again. it started doing it only when i revved it high(5500rpm) but it has got worse and worse and now it does it about 3-3500rpm depending on load. also if i hold accelerator down after it has done it a load squeel comes from the trans(pump whine maybe)
ive exhausted all posibilitys i can come up with and dont know what to do?!!
please help!
