vt auto gearbox noise???

Hi guys, today my car starting making a kind of ticking/flapping noise while i was stationary.iv put it down to the gearbox becouse when i put it in park it stops making this noise?? it only does it when stoped and coasting along very slowly.as i accelerated it seems to stop....any thought on this would be greatly appriecated..

think i have a similar problem. suspect the rear output shaft in the extension housing. Havent checked it out further. will let you know when i know more

Prob not the necissarily inside the gearbox becuase when you put it in park load is off the engine which is why it stops.
Maybe mounts?

Yeah well mine shudders, it seems it's the engine mounts as oppose to the gearbox. 411,111 km will do that :P How old is your car, might just be hard engine mounts.
