It seems my trans cooler piping is leaking from the fitting at the trans end. Its the screw in type where it screws into another nut, does that second nut(attached to the trans) come out? As I noticed that the rubber seal is in that and was thinking that it might be the cause of my problem.
Do they normally leak?
Also which way does the bigger one turn? Its in a biatch of a spot
If your going to burn the aussie flag please do us a favour and wrap yourself in it first
hey mate
the second nut does come out the first nut (on the pipe) gos down to undo and the big nut (into the trans housing) gos up to undo ive done six or seven of these and i cant get the pipes back in without removing the trans so it may be a job better left to the mechanic im in the process of doing one atm so if you need any other advice give me a yell

you undo the little nut that is on the end of the pipes leading to the radiator , you do nut under any circumstance undo the larger nut that is on the radiator(which the pipe pushes into} use 2 spanners if yopu have to because once the seal on the one in the radiator goes sometimes the oring on the inside of the radiator tank pops out of place , you can also just simply remove the fan and undo the 2 pipes where they join up as they head towards the transmission make sure you have something to plug the pipes up coz oil will go everywhere but it saves undoing the header tank trans pipes
