interchanging gear boxes.
I have a VX SS 4L60E auto. Now the box is getting a little tired and am thinking of putting in a low K VZ SSZ 4L60E both are from an LS1 so bolt up no problem but are the computers/ electrics completable? Cheers.

i would say see if you can keep it to the same engine model LS1 gearbox. dont know for certain about the ease of dropping in a later model box. might be a good Q for an auto specialist. if you can find one VT - VY you should be fine.

afaik the 6lt came with the 4l65e
my car has a 4l65e in it atm and afaik there was no modifying with the computer what so ever. all plug and play from what i was told.
