VT Calais 5.0litre

Hey guys,
I have a 1999 VT Calais and i'm looking to rework an engine for it.
Found a reco VN 5.0 litre. Now i know this engine isn't a Roller.
But i'm going to do a fair amount of work to the engine before putting it in my car.

What i want to know is if it's possible/practical to change the engine into a roller?

Sorry if this is a very simple question. But can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
