My boot lid fills up with water whenever it rains or i wash the car. i think the light is the problem so im planning on removing it. one problem however is i have the technical skills of a dead rat so don't want to jump into it and end up with 50 parts and no idea what goes where.
oh and its on an 02 vxII calais and has the cluster that goes the whole way across the boot the water is just filling up the bottom lip. It has a hsv or something spoiler on it too which may be where the water is coming from any ideas as to how likely this would be?
done it on my vt , and if i can remember right , should be screws on inner boot side to undo, or for break lights on vt, pop boot , undo screws hidden by boot lid, then pop the other end out
seems to be a common problem , mine does it was well
It will be the spoiler letting the water in. Dont even bother with the lights.
There are revised gaskets from Holden to go between the spoiler and the boot lid. If you go to a half decent parts department they'll know what you're talking about.
