Awesome, one day I'm going to adapt that setup into my VP![]()
That is awesome! Something I spose I'll look into, Was it completely bolt in on the VT?
Curious If I could put that setup into my VQ, I've busted another IRS cradle...

sorry if this been asked but what's the advantage of this set up ?
Cheers
Does this involve the whole rear end and how much did it cost?
The complete IRS set up is needed, and if you get a VY or VZ you need the tailshaft.
Hmm, if you get a VXs2 IRS set up would you need that tailshaft or could you use yours?
the cost is not inportant if you are going to keep you car ,as for the price of tyres every year or so ,well i want mine to last and this is the best way to make sure they do .You shoud be able to get a complete irs for around
$400.00 to $800.00 ,,,
Noodl3s ; have a look have a look hope this helps
Going to start hunting this weekend, the wreckers were no good so hopefully somewhere else will help.
I was gonna get 4 point adjusters on the back of my vxs2 but i read somewhere that they can knacker the diff is this correct?
VZ Wagon (dual fuel)
Lowered on lovells springs
VE SSV rims
2 1/2 stainless exhaust with DD exit
if they aren't adjusted at all after instalation, then possibly - too much toe and/or camber will do that.
A 4 point (or 2 point) kit may not completely remove your camber issues as the VT IRS was poorly designed. VX series 2 onwards fixed this and therefore have no camber issues and don't need these adjustable bushes that don't do much (most of the time).
forgot that you need a front and rear wheel alignment after that, should cost you over $100. So $450 (below) is pretty good for parts, labour and wheel alignment.

there is a place here in perth that can fit a 4 point kit for $450 that includes wheel re-alignment.

Are you going to keep your car ?if so then i wouldnt bother with a camber kit i would try to get VY irs , i too had a caber kit but it didnt fix the problem yes it slowed it down but that was it ,i am keeping my car for a very long time so i got myself a VY rear end best thing i ever did ,and i tell everyone it is the only way to go for thhe cost off a little more than you are paying for your camber it![]()
Hated to bump an old thread, hopefully someone can reply in here unless im forced to start a new thread.
ANYWAY, i bought a VZ V6 Lumina IRS and Diff set up to put in the VT S1 V6 to correct camber. Is there anything i need to know before this gets put onto my car?
glad you did revive it cause i wouldnt have seen this!!
I too have a question.
Whats to stop you using the vt diff so there is no need to change tailshaft??
Glad i revived it too, how hard was it Glowworm to put the VY IRS into your car? Or is it worth a noob like me having someone else do it as im not sure i have all the equipment here. Basically i want the IRS and stuff taken from the VT and put in the VZ IRS and diff with my lowered springs and shocks.
Seems like a lot of work for some tyre wear.
Considering my car sits quite low and it chews threw tyres, no its not. It also means i can chuck 18s on etc etc and not have to worry about needing to replace a tyre 1/3rd of the way into its life because its got horrible camber wear.
The cradle will bolt straight up to the VT chassis. The VT diff will also bolt directly in to the VZ cradle no issues. I recommend cradle mount bushes and trailing arm bushed before fitting it to the car. You will never rip it out to do them again later lol. It's a very worthwhile conversion, you won't regret it.
