Hi Guys,
I am at my wits end with this issue.
My brother in law has a VX V6 on gas (aftermarket system). When under acceleration or light load when running on lpg the car almost cuts out and then immediately gains power again - the car bounces back and forth (the best explanation) as power is continually lost and regained. It does not happen all the time, regularly enough though. Doesn't occur on petrol. No difference whether it's hot or cold. No errors have shown up on the computer and the mechanic has replaced PLUGS and LEADS (ngk plugs and leads - specific for lpg). Sometimes when it happens you can hear an audible click sound come from the rear where the gas tank is (we have noticed this happening more-so of late). If anyone out there can help it would be much appreciated. He has taken it to 2 gas places and they just scratch their heads, take your money and point fingers - solving nothing!!!
Someone has suggested something about a safety kill swith solenoid to do with the gas...is it worth taking it to another gas specialist
Any suggestions where to go from here?
Yeah mate its probably just a solenoid, i know it can happen when your switch is dead.....
Btw, if the gas place doesn't know then go to another gas place![]()
