im in the process of buying a 2001 vx ss 6 speed manual 5.7litre has any body got any opinions about this model is there any thing that i should know about ie-the motor and running gear,are there any common problems ect that i should know about any information would be a great help? thanks.

A friend of mine got it he says they are very quick. In terms of problems I don't see anything common that could go wrong with them. I'd say go for it especially if it a 6 speed manual, you'll love it.

Nah mate you'll be right. Most of the problems were fixed under warranty, like piston slap and such. Afew guys on here have them, Grennan just purchased one like you're looking at and he's happy so they must be alright.
