    Default mystery fault

What kind of PCM faults will cause the light to stay on constantly with no loss of drivability, It passes the startup check goes out then relights after about 5 seconds. The oil light does work, I've had that happen before..so I've counted that out...everything works as it should...good power, auto shifts fine, idles ok, no surging, traction control, cruise everything works. Vehicle is VXII V8/A4 wagon. I know I'll need to get it scanned but it has no apparent faults!! Any ideas??

The oil pressure sensor is a common fault. I've replaced mine once and it needs replacing again but they are ridiculously expensive.
