Fuel pump problems
Hi everyone, I know there are threads about fuel pumps but what I need to know isn't in any threads I have seen. And yes I did use search.
My fuel pump sounds like its sucking air or something because there is definately some sort of sucking noise behind the right-rear wheel, I'm 99% sure is fuel pump as I haven't looked under car but I fail to see what else it could be. Also I have noticed that the car doesn't make that sound when you turn the car onto ignition, which I thought was the fuel pump pressurising. Repco says there are different fuel pumps for series 1 and series 2 VXs (I have a V6). I'm pretty sure I have a series 1 as its build date is May 2001. Anyway what I need to know is what are some good brands, and how much they cost and from where (part numbers would be great too). I'm in Brisbane so any Brisbane stores would be great. I've been told Walbro are good, but has anyone got any advice.
