    Default VXII, a bit sluggish?

i think somethings slightly wrong with my car/has been for a while. overall it drives fine, starts everytime, very smooth, nothing really out of the ordinary but it seems to have lost its edge.

-i first noticed a problem when i tried to do a burnout and it wouldnt work. i dont do burnouts often cause of wear on the cars but had done about 3 before hand(short ones so i doubt the transmission overheated). anyway i tried to linelock and the car held ~2400rpm and just held it there. usually the wheels always started spinning freely and the car would be straight at 4k rpm.

-2nd thing i wanted to do a u-turn from stationary position with wheel spin since the road was tight but it wouldnt do that either

-throttle can feel a tiny bit slugish it also often wont kickdown the gears when you push the gas down fast

-drag raced my mates VT II, he got a car length ahead doing 0-80 (speed limit).

my car is 100% stock VX II, his is VT II and has LSD and modded exhaust with straight through pipe from the front cat. someone suggested fuel delivery or ecu problem. but yeah the tranmission isnt slipping or anything, unless you were familiar with the car and were on the lookout for the above problems you wouldnt notice it

i've done that, i didnt mention anything to them about it but they didnt find anything wrong with the engine etc. just small leak and the lift things for the bonnet. maybe i'll talk to them about it, the next service will be 160 000

wouldnt surprise me that the vt ecotec would beat your vx, he may have been shifting, plus the vt is a bit lighter + aforementioned exhaust.

thats unfortunate, i think i will mention it before the next service anyway and see if that makes any diff. im not going to mod my car at this stage, from what ive read here there no performance to be had from ecotech unless you spend big and make major mods. if i knew how id probably take apart the engine, i read a thread on these forums where someone cleaned out a whole heap of black crap which had built up and it made his car run a lot better.
