VX dash question

Hi guys,
Im going to need to get a new dash cluster in my Vx, Question being: is it true that the km's on the odo cant be changed after its done 100,000K? im hoping to get a second hand one off ebay rather then have to buy onebrand new.

the ODO cant be changed after 100kms, not 100,000 i believe. This lets dealers let cars get test driven then reset.

I could be wrong but ive read it from multiple sources. Its definately not 100,000 thought.

Exactly right.....HOWEVER....I had a VT with 265000km and I bought a dash off ebay that had 164000km. Could have gone two ways, kept the old one and took a photo of the new one when it went it, or say nothing and sell it to an unsuspecting dealer... whoops did I say that out loud? haha. Just don't get caught if you do it that way!

i just got a new level 3 dash that was 80,000ks less than my origional.. my logs books though are for my old one.

clusters from the VT's that have the white back housing can b changed at any stage, its the clusters that have the black housing that u cant once its gone over 100kms as said above.

I am selling a VX cluser that has 150000 kms on the clock if any one wants one...

clusters from the VT's that have the white back housing can b changed at any stage, its the clusters that have the black housing that u cant once its gone over 100kms as said above.

just a questions, i no im going get some d*ck answers here but other then looking at one, is the vx cluster any better then a vt? no diffrents in working wise? i no they look the same

they are a little diff but the one i have has the
P R N D 3 2 1 display on the cluster i dont think the VT has it....i have pictures of mine in the Parts for sale posts... so have a look there

The VX clusters do have some extra features over the VT's using the trip computer that would b about it. (also depends on higher model clusters 2)

In looks they dont look that much different but do have some slight differences thats u cant really tell unless pulled appart, the needles, needle mechs, the difuser panels and the dial facias r the only differences between the 2.

how about a white back housing from a cluster that was in a statesman? If so i'd probably put the numbers back up, mines 50000 off, so not all that bad.
