Will they Scrub = Yes, anything beyond 19's and there will be some sort of scrubbing.
Will you need to roll and pump the guards = Yes
Will you get scrubbing on the strut = Probably
Will it be legal = No even close
Will it look good = Not really

All true but 19's isnt the biggest, I've posted a clubby with 20's somewhere on here which has been lowered heaps and he only gets problems with a full car load. Even then the scrubbing isnt that bad, I'll try find the pic

22"s will require a lot of work. Tyres will be VERY expensive. Every bump will feel like it broke your spine. Would scrub out a lot. Illegal. Power steering will probably bite the big one not long after, will feel like a bus turning till then. Would look really bad, and brakes look very very small.

Yes it will fit. It will cost you shitloads to get them to fit properly and even more to maintain them. Will it be good? No. Stick to 20s if you want to get something big. Even 19s on mine feel just a bit too big...

20's are the way to go man. if u can find a set, get them instead, much cheaper and easier and look a hell of a lot better. just to make the 20's fit the guards had to be rolled and even then it still scrubbed untill i "clearanced" it a little more (with a 2.5" lowering jobby), fine now but im not sure if the fronts will even fit as they will more then likely foul on the strut tower as theres no room with 20's. plus you wont be able to get the car low enough to really look all that flash with 22's without some potentially large body mods.
Financial Crisis? What crisis? Fuels cheap and so are parts. I dont see no crisis.

I have never really seen the point of going over 19" as the rolling diameter is still the same. If you want them to look bigger than they are try whitewalling the tyres, makes for a nice look.

    this:

it was for sale not long ago, been fittined with 22inch rims but apparently took a bit of work to fit em. pretty sure a bloke from Fabtech auto-styling used to own it n did all the work ect. maybe have a talk with them about fitting 22's....but i honestly think its just to big for a VT and would be fair uncomfortable....up to you though bud.

22s? When you have to draw the rubber on with a nikko you know they're too big.

verde. madonnas helix ect....................... can come out in 22/8.5 or 22/9. so if u get the 8.5 u wont have "as" much problems. and findin rubber for 22/8.5 would be hard i think
