Slotted rotor noise

I have genuine holden slotted rotors with bendix performax pads. When under heavy braking i can hear what sounds like the slots passing the brake pads. Is this normal? Didnt notice it when they were new but do now. Pads are not worn out, and the rotors arent grooved or anything. Anyone hear this?

Quite normal. The "noise" you refer to is the reason some people don't keep slotted rotors, cause they want no noise and to stop on a 10c piece too!!

It's the sound of the rotor turning, sweeping the pad and allowing hot gas to escape and any impurities be swept out.
