i just bought a ss kit for my vx and cant decide weather i want to remove my trolly strip or get it colour coded. what do you think?? remove it and get any paint damage touched up when i get the kit sprayed or get it painted the same colour as the car...? i think the protection from swinging doors in the car park is good but i also think it will look alot cleaner without it...and maybe a 10mm chrome strip running down the grove that will be left in the doors??

I think you should remove it. It'll make body flow better if you know what i mean. But umm...most door dings are a little higher that the strip anyways.

BTW did you get any quotes for the paint job on the kit? Im looking to get a kit painted on my car too soon.

i woul.d remove it i did mine last week as the VXss dosent have the troly strip.Ifound they came off easy without pulling paint off

hope you can see in this picture i have taken them off just have to remove some silicone someone has used to hold then on .i also removed the badges just under the side light

cheers guys i think im going to remove them. just hope i dont do too much damage to the paint. i havent got any quotes yet. anyone no of a good place in vic to get kit painted?
