no pick up

We have just brought a VX Calais, and when you put your foot down to quickly take off, there is nothing, it has nearly stalled once.
Can anyone give me any ideas as the car yard said it is fixed.

Is it a V8 or V6?

it is a v6, new leads have been put on, no good. once you are moving you can get under it and the pick up is good (I would like it more).
At present I am using unleaded fuel.

So you put your foot down and it takes a while to respond?If this is the case it could be that the accelerator cable is a bit loose.

when you plant it -

does it revv but dosent go anywhere (or move a little bit)?

does it just take half a second to start moving but accelerates normally

does it happen in any gear(moving or from stationary start)

is ur tranny fluid in good condition?(major service??)

and a silly one, how balds your tires? :P
