    Default Can someone identify what this is?

    There was a hose connected to it with no hose clamps and it just pulled off with no force can someone tell me what it is and its purpose as i know it should be connected but cant find a place for it.

    help much appreciated.

    The photos are too blurry to identify the part correctly. I can make out a heater valve and an injector, but not the bit you are concerned about. Can you take clearer pics by coming back from the object a bit when you photograph it?

    not really its right behind the plenum and down a bit wouldn't be able to see it if i standed back, that's why o took a few i guess i can try again.

    I believe it will be your canister purge solenoid - required for emissions.
    It should go from the solenoid to the charcoal canister.
    The hoses normally don't have hose clamps as they normally carry vapour

    i have taken everything to do with my ac out of my car. does it need to be connected? can i plug it up or put a breather on it?

    Its not for A/C, Its for emissions and is required by law.

    ok i did some searching im preety sure i know what a charcoal canister looks like but dont remember seeing one in my engine bay where is it located?

    ok if that's true how come i only have about 80cm worth of hose coming of it? it wouldn't reach to the back of the car, does it connect somewhere in the engine bay?

    yeah, theres another metal pipe next to the fuel lines on the firewall.
