The main screen doesn't give you fuel usage per 100km, it will just give you a distance to empty reading in kilometres. If you hold the mode and up(^) button down together whilst starting and then use mode to scroll the so called hidden menu. From memory it gives u a voltage reading, engine temp in degrees, digital speed reading, how many litres of fuel are currently in the tank, and how much fuel is being injected per 100km

i have a 98 vt ss 5 litre and comfortably see 600km give or take 20-30k's with a mix between flogging and cruising. That reading is how much fuel is currently being injected it is not an average, therefore if u are accelerating it will read higher than sitting at a constant speed. My average would be around 10-12l/100 doing a fair bit of stop start peak hour traffic with a heavy foot.

I don't know a great deal about engines, but i would suggest a major service, new fuel filter, get the injectors cleaned and have it tuned.

    What Fuel are you using?
