Undo monaro light conversion

Hi everyone,

Ive bought a 98 vt exec - good news is its a 5l stroked to 383 with active manifold and all the goodies - bad news is its got monaro tail lights with the original garnish. needless to say I think this looks shit and want to return it to standard.

I bought a set of tail lights from Auto 1 and expected it to be a straight forward change over to return them to standard. However when i took the left hand light of I got a bit of a surprise.

Firstly there is 3 globes for the monaro's - the lights i bought only have housing for 2 - one indicator and i assume the other is the clear light. Secondly the housing for the globes themselves on the new lights is different and the globes won't twist and lock in.

Any info on how to fix this would be great as i want to get the munro ones out as quick as possible.

You;d have to swap the tail light loom with the VT ones. Previous owner would have swapped them with VX ones to do the light conversion. The loom itself is about 15cm long and runs behind the carpet in the boot. If you pull it out you will see.Im sure theres somebody on here who wants to do a conversion and would even straight swap you.

When i changed mine im pretty sure there was a clip for each light unplug and plug in new harness.

been quoted about $30 for the harness

new or second hand? myself i would go to wreckers and take their harness's ;D cheaper
