I'm pretty sure you can't, unless you have a calais or higher with the factory sub, then you can replace it with a equal size one. There are no cut outs for subs and legally you can't cut the parcel tray.

is it possible to get a calais parcel shelf and fit it to a lower model such as my exec? or does the actual metalframe work underneath need modifying hence the illegalness?

If you can get the plastic brackets that are used for the 8"subs, i guess you could modify it or use it as a basic template to put 10"s in. Dont know how good free to air 10" subs are though...

SIG is correct. There are two plates tac welded in place. Once the parcel shelf is out, a solid whack from above will dislodge them. I bought the calais sub brackets for $30 from Holden, and 2 Pioneer 8" subs. They aren't a direct fit in the bracket, so some modification was needed.

You'll also need to cut out the plastic shelf, to fit the speaker grills. Make sure you leave around 1-2cm so the grill has something to hold on to.

Also, you will need to go nuts with sound deadner. Dynamat or the like. The main things that rattle are the stop light and the centre seatbelt reel.

    Hope that helps,

    Sam

Where do you spray the SOUND DEDNER?
Like pull back the carpet and spray it on the metal , Or??
It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay!

You don't spray sound deadner anyway, you use the matting stuff. It has one layer of adhesive, usually tar and one fine layer of metal.

To remove the parcel shelf, first remove your back seats. Then take out the bolt and 2 plastic clips holding in the shelf. You will then be able to bend it slightly to remove.
