    Default Lukey V6 Exhausts

Thinking of upgrading to a 2.5" catback exhaust soon, and just wondering what the Lukey sports systems are like? I'm going to be choosing between Lukey and Berklee exhausts. Also, what is the best setup for a sports system on a V6, I don't want it overly loud but I want a nice note.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

Cheers mate, not worried about the price though since by dad owns an exhaust centre and I can get them at trade price.

    Thanks anyway!

True, just thought I'd get some advice from people who have actually had these exhausts on their car, going to see him tomorrow anyway so I'll ask him then aswell.

Had a talk to him today, I've also got the choice of a Redback system. I've done a bit of searching to whether Redback is better than Lukey, and all the threads are about 3 years old. So which exhausts are better, Lukey or Redback?

Quality wise, their systems are basically the same... sound wise there is a difference... the Lukey are a big deeper and have a bark to them. The redback's have a big more 'edge' to the note.

    Lukey:

Redback withHM headers and rear hotdog:

    Good luck

Definitely think the Redback sounds better out of those two, cheers for that.

Not An Abba Fan is selling me a Manta system with a straight-through front muffler, 2.5" and rear resonator shipped for a total of $275.

I used to have a Redback on my VN, and I loved the sound of it, but it was a 'turbo' muffler' which doesn't flow as well as a straight through... Maybe that's something to keep in mind?

Got the Redback exhaust on yesterday and I think it sounds good. Not too quiet not too loud. Do headers effect the note of the exhaust much?

Yeah, headers make it a touch deeper, or atleast thats what mine did.

You gonna post a clip how yours sounds?

I got the Redback Sports System for $140 + the resonator was $100, so $240 all up. My old man owns an exhaust centre.

I haven't got the chrome tip on the end yet so I'll post a clip of it when that's on early next week.
