    Default Aunger CAI $59 bux

    Hey guys, just picked up a Aunger CAI for 59 bux today from repco, pretty happy with that. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on fitting the bastard.
    cheers

    Thats the exact one I have.. I've sealed it with black silastic around the airbox and with tape around where the 2pieces slide into eachother... as it wasn't the best fit... I had to cut out the sections where it sits on the 2 screws, then I opened the mouth of it up to let a bit more air in..

    Use a heatgun to help ease/mould it into place if it doesn't fit properly..

    I bought mine today got the last one in Newcastle.

    There not the easiest to fit you have to cut a fair bit away of the plastic that sits on top of the radiator.

    But it looks good once fitted and it sucks more air you can hear the difference.

    wow i got one just like this off ebay start of the year for $100 with a K&N filter, i turfed the second peice that conects to the air box and cut the factory one up to suit for a way better fit, and pop rivited it together and put black electrical tape over top and its all good!

    i have some little christmas tree black plastic clips to hold it to the car but they keep popping out so i think i might have to nut and bolt the bastard on

    alrighty, put it in today by cutting a fair bit of the plastic off, but i noticed that there is about a 10mm gap where the pipe goes into the air filter box, any ideas on sealing that off?

    Mine fitted nice and snug i had to tidy it up alittle on the join as it had some little plastic spikes on it but once i trimmed them it fitted great.

    [QUOTE=And_ROOS;1279285]Which repco? Why so cheap?[/QUO

    There hell cheap coz Aunger have stopped producing them. That's what the repco guy told me any way and they just want to clear floor space.

    ^^^ looks good mate, mine still not fitting right there is a gap where the cai meets the air box. see pic. I think its doing this because the cai pipe is sitting on this arm frame thingo (no idea what its actually called) which is like a frame/support for the fans. see pic.
    Any ideas on what to do would be much appreciated.
    cheers
